March 20, 21 & 22, 2009

Mandy Yee-Sellar started her training at Diane Will’s Dance Studio in Saskatoon at the age of 3 and started assisting under the Direction of Diane Will Raskob at the age of 14, and then taught for 2 years. She completed up to Advanced Two in tap and jazz in the ADAPT syllabus, with Brian Foley, and completed Pre-Elementary Ballet Exam in the RAD Syllabus.

She then continued her training with Eloise Sitter at Sitter School of Dance in Saskatoon, at the age of 18 where she had to complete the rest of her CDTA tap exams, and start studying the CDTA Jazz Syllabus (Primary – Advanced). (Never think that you are too old to start over again.) She then received her Teacher’s Certificate in the Stage Division Tap and Jazz in Canadian Dance Teachers Association on 1992. And taught there for 10 years, and took a year or two off here and there to have a family. And has know gone back to teaching for Eloise for the past 5 years.

Mandy also has been teaching at Watrous School of Dance in Watrous, Saskatchewan for the past 8 years, where she has taught tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical and hip hop. She has 2 kids, Kacey age 11 and Tyson aged 6, who both dance, and keep her really busy.

Mandy is really looking forward to adjudicating this weekend. Good luck to all dancers…..and a big thank you to all the parents and volunteers, they wouldn’t be out there if it weren’t for you! Dance your heart out!
